Policy Against Harassment

Commitment to a Safe and Inclusive Environment

The AIAS Conference provides a welcoming, respectful, and harassment-free environment for all participants, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, age, religion, nationality, or affiliation. We value diverse perspectives and are committed to an inclusive and supportive community.

Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated in any conference venue—whether in person or online—including talks, workshops, poster sessions, social events, and digital communication platforms.

Prohibited Conduct

Prohibited behavior includes, but is not limited to:

  • Offensive verbal comments related to identity, background, or personal characteristics
  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following
  • Harassing photography or recording
  • Sustained disruption of talks or other events
  • Inappropriate physical contact or unwelcome sexual attention
  • Advocating for or encouraging any of the above behavior

This policy applies to all attendees, speakers, organizers, sponsors, and volunteers.

Reporting Harassment

If you are subjected to or witness unacceptable behavior, please report it as soon as possible. Reports can be made by:

  • Speaking directly with a designated conference safety officer or member of the organizing committee

All reports will be handled with discretion and confidentiality. The organizing committee will take appropriate actions, which may include:

Enforcement

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. The organizing committee reserves the right to take any actions necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of attendees.
