Biography
Chrissy co-founded the Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute (TCCI) with her husband, Tianqiao Chen, in 2016 with a significant commitment to help advance brain science. She and her husband play a very active role in the Institute, overseeing program development, strategic partnerships and managing the recently created Chen Frontier Labs.
Chrissy was also a co-founder of Shanda Interactive Entertainment Group in 1999, which has been credited with pioneering the online game and online literature industries in China. Now Shanda Group, Chrissy is directly involved with the company’s public market, VC and real estate investment strategies. Since its inception, she has held several executive positions at the company including the role of Group CFO from 1999 – 2004. Prior to co-founding Shanda, Chrissy was an investment banker.
To support science and education and to serve the community, Chrissy joined the Board of Governors at the Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens in September 2022. She also became of member of the California Academy of Sciences’ Board of Trustees.
Chrissy has a Bachelor of Economics degree from the China Institute of Finance (now part of the University of International Business and Economics).
